Stopped here for lunch on the way to El Cotillo. Is a bit remote and away from the madding crowd. Had the goat and the canarian potatoes. Did feel a bit bad eating the goat as there was what appeared to be a goat farm right next door but we did enjoy the food and very well priced. Perfect for a quiet couple of hours.

This place was recommended by friends so we drove to Caldereta to try it out and weren't disappointed. The papas arrugadas and mojo sauce were exceptionally good and some of the best we have eaten in Fuerteventura. The goat meat in the stew was very tender, and very well flavoured, well worth a visit if you want to try somewhere more traditional than touristy. A meal for two cost less than thirty euros including water, and coffees, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Rural setting was spectacular

Stopped off here for a coffee as the rural setting was spectacular. Decided to have a bite to eat as the surroundings were amazing. Eating really tasty locally sourced food was made an even more pleasurable experience by all the goats in the neighbouring farm. Pure heaven.

Very nice Canarian food, great value
This seemed to be the only restaurant in Caldereta, we found it driving to La Oliva and stopped for lunch, which was very nice, and good value. We had menu of the day which included goat meat which was very tender and tasty, as were the potatoes. It cost about 14 Euro each including wine, water, and coffee. Not much English spoken, no problem at all as the owner was very attentive and friendly, as were the locals drinking there, the regular menu was in English and German so we managed. There was a big herd of goats out back, not sure if that's where our food came from, but it probably was. There wasn't any WIFI and the phone signal was very weak, I guess that's to be expected in the quiet areas on the Island.
