The Corralejo Carnival takes place in March each year in Corralejo,Fuerteventura. Further details will be published as soon as they are available.
The carnival lasts for around ten days where people dress up and party, usually until the early hours before the period of abstinence or lent where people say farewell to meat for a while. For some this is a religious time and for others a time to party. The carnival ends with the burning of the sardine, the harvest of the fish stock.
The highlight of the Corralejo Carnival each year is the huge carnival procession on the final Saturday which lasts for several hours and ends with live music usually lasting all night.

The 2023 Corralejo Carnival takes place between March 2nd and March 12th 2023, the 2023 carnival theme is "Africa". Hopefully this will be the return of the full on Carnival as it was prior to the pandemic, details will be added as they become available.

Corralejo Carnival returns for 2022
The Corralejo Carnival returns for 2022 after two years of cancellation. The Carnival of Carnivals will be held between March 7th and March 26th. The 2022 carnival theme is "A fantasy world" or "Un mundo de fantasía". The usual events seem to be taking place including the Drag Queen Gala but sadly the main carnival procession is missing from the schedule.
