Gran Tarajal Open Sea Fishing Competition,Gran Tarajal,Fuerteventura

Went to Gran Tarajal harbour late afternoon on Saturday which was at the end of the tournament, we didn't see any fish, maybe we arrived too late. There was a stage with live music, people dancing, and several bars selling food including octopus, canarian potatoes, and fish croquettes, as well as drinks. It was more like a fiesta than a fishing tournament, with a nice atmosphere, hardly any tourists, and as I find with many events on Fuerteventura very little information. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, the locals were very friendly, and I expect the fiesta went on until the early hours, we had to leave at 7pm as more people were arriving.
